Montana Real Estate License - Education Requirements


Sales License

60 hours of prelicense instruction and pass the state exam with an 80% (70% on the state portion).
Brokers License

60 hours of prelicense instruction and pass the state exam with an 80%.
Continuing Education

Every year, a total of twelve (12) clock hours of continuing education
Four hours required in mandatory courses - Any mandatory hours over 4 will become elective hours.
Contracts - 3 hours
Real Estate Ethics - 3 hours
MT License Law - 3 hours
Environmental Basics - 6 hours
Elective Courses
Pricing Property - 4 hours
Real Estate Math - 6 hours
Home Inspection - 6 hours
RENEWALS

All licensees renew by December 31st, every odd-numbered year
