Vermont Real Estate License - Education Requirements
Sales License
No prelicense course is required
Be at least 18 years old
Pass the state exam (grade of 75%, 70% on the Uniform Section required to pass)
Brokers License
Be at least 18 years old
Have at least one year of experience as a licensed salesperson
Complete an 8 hour, state approved prelicense course
Pass a proctored final exam (grade of 70% required to pass)
Pass the state exam (grade of 70% required to pass)
Continuing Education
<LI class=req>Every two years a total of eight (8) or twelve (12) clock hours of continuing education
Eight hours total for Salespersons:
Legislation - 4 hours
Remaining four hours can be from general or prescribed courses
Twelve hours total for Brokers:
Legislation - 4 hours
Remaining eight hours can be from general or prescribed courses
RENEWALS
All licensees renew every two years from the initial date of licensure
