real estate license)? I came across a company who claims you can sell properties for them with their company real estate license. Is this inaccurate? or is this something that is realistic?

Most states due want you to have a real estate license. How ever there is something out there called builders reps. If you are employed by this company and sell there company owned property, you can, but you must be a employee of that company and the homes must be there homes and not someone else's house or land.

In Florida, the statute defines "practicing real estate" as buying or selling property for someone else for compensation or with the expectation of compensation. Additionally, advertising to sell someone else's property is considered practicing real estate. Of course, owners can sell their own properties. Also, as someone else said, you can sell a builder's houses as long as you are an employee of the builder, though most builders here want a real estate professional in that position of salesperson. In Florida, you also have to be careful with being an assistant for a Realtor or at a real estate company as there are only certain things an unlicensed assistant can do, and these do not include writing contracts, presenting offers, etc. which are a big part of a Realtor's job. Make sure you know your state's statutes and stay away from the things you shouldn't do unless you have a license.
