If I talk to an agent & they are showing me houses, do I have the right to be looking at the same time with another realtor? Or do I have the option if I find a house I want to make an offer on, to give that comission to any agent I want by having them do the closing? Even if they were not the one who showed me the home originally? I was told I can do this, but I was also told I have to sign a contract saying that I will not work with another agent. Which is true?? I live in Michigan if that makes any difference.

Did you sign a buyer's agency agreement? If so, it would tell you what your responsibilites are. If you did not sign an agreement, you are free to look at property with whomever wished to show it to you.
