Frankly, if I had real estate renting, I'd want to know that my tenant is in a position to make her/his monthly payment.

Depends on the landlord.. If its an apartment in a building where the landlord also lives, they MIGHT run a credit agency report..or they might not.. Depends on what kind of history they have had with other tenants.On the other hand if the building is owned by a corporation (even a private one), you can be assured that they will do a credit pull.
