...Jersey/ I live in Kansas City? I currently broker commercial loans in Kansas where I do not need a license. However I have received some referrals in New Jersey do I need a License?

You need to register for a Mortgage Solicitor license in New Jersey. It's just filling out a paper and paying $100. There is no education or testing requirements for mortgages.
