market and sold to someone ? I saw a house and I want to buy it, however it says house is pending on the listing, I told someone to make an offer for me, does that mean they will take the house off the market so I can buy it?

No, someone else is purchasing the house if it is pending. You may (may) be able to put in a back up offer in the event the other offer falls through.

It means someone has put in a offer for the house. the deal in not sealed. U can ask your agent to make a offer and the owner will decide which one he wants

It means a buyer made the seller an offer to purchase their house. The sellers accepted the buyer's offer. It is now in the 'Pending' status awaiting financing. It is off the market, pending mortgage approval. If the buyers can not qualify for a mortgage, the house will be back on the market usually in 30-60 days. Usually it is sold and you don't have a chance. Sometimes, the deal falls through due to lack of financing the deal.
