Each state is different. My state required a 6 week class and that was not really enough study. Check with your state and have them give you a sample test

It all depends on the state. All states offer a pre-licensing course thru an accredited RE school which you have to take inorder to even be allowed to sit for the state exam. The pre-licensing class has a final exam at the end which you have to pass. Once you pass they give you a form to send to the state in which the state schedules when you can sit for the state exam. They teach you all you need to know for the state exam and most RE schools offer a weekend CRAM course before you take the state exam to help you if you have questions or just need a refresher. I took the Florida RE exam and passed the first time, I now live in NC and I hear that it's a very hard exam so I haven't taken it. The schools give you the books so it depends on how hard you study.Remember, it doesn't just end once you take the State exam you have do continuing education every two years as RE laws change monthly.Good luck

Depends on your state.I am currently trying to get my license through an online course (I had no other options, unfortunately) and my state requires 130 hours of work/studying to be eligible to take your Real Estate exam. For me, that is not the hard part, it's the wording of the books that I am supposed to study. All of the material is in lawyer terms and explained/written very awkwardly.....I feel like I need a translator. But the good news is, if anyone fails their first test, they can always take the exam again. Good luck if you decide to got ahead with it.
