In Turkey, we have many UK citizens buying big houses and apartments, to let. Infact there are a few holiday regions (in the surrounding area of Antalya) that is open 12 months of the year, and producing great rental yeild to golfers and holiday makers. Some even come back for seconds... it couldn't get any easier !

From experience of buying buy to let properties - move from the house you are in to something bigger, or nicer, to escape the road you say is getting worse. Dont let the neighbours drag your property value down. Get out while you can. With regard to lettings - the whole fiasco is a nightmare if you get a dreadful tenant - and it's quite possible. Think carefully.
