That is can you operate under someone elses license who owns the branch while you work for him/her while you are getting your own license?

People do it but it's against the law. You can be an assistant to a license and you can receive a referral fee but you can't make offers, sign contracts, etc.

sounds unethical...illegal ? don't think so...but def. unethical and i would not deal with you if i knew that upfront.good luck :)

You can not be an agent and be paid any kind of commission in the state of california, you have to have a license.
