Usually it's just go to a class or online whatever it takes to get licensed in the state and they can be hired by any broker as long as they are willing to take them on.

A 2 or 4 year university degree is not required to practice real estate. Check your state's curriculum requirements for a real estate salesperson license. In Texas, you need to complete 4 core classes along with 2 additional classes of your choice (dealing with real estate, of course).

Each state has different requirements, but in general you will be required to take 4 classes and pass an exam. Once you have met these requirements you are eligible to get your real estate license and work as a real estate agent. If you are interested in home sales there are many companies who will pay for your classes and test in exchange for you working for their company when you are licensed. If you are interested there are colleges that offer 4 year real estate programs but these are geared more towards people who want to go into land development or have their own real estate firm.
