If you just want to tile your bath, then you would call a tile expert. I would not recommend that you attach tile directly to wood, as the adhesive used may eat through the wood over time and cause lots of problems. There is a tile backer board that is used. (HardyBacker or some such). Also, do not attach tiles to sheetrock. Tile is heavy and sometimes porous and you do not want any icky funk growing behind your tiles and causing them to fall off the now-moldy sheetrock wall. If your remodeling requires any construction, you may need a permit to do the work. Call around to the contractors in your area and tell them what you are planning to do. Be wary of the 'cheap guy'. The only place costs are cut is in materials, as labor generally stays the same from one place to another. You do not want any cheap, thin tiles as they will break with little or no provocation, or any crappy tile adhesive that doesn't really work. You may also do well to check at your local home improvement and/or hardware store to see what they would suggest. They may have a list of contractors who you can call. Ask the contractors for references. And check your BBB. There are all sorts of hoodoo daddies out there ready to scam you. Make sure you get a contract, too! Get EVERYTHING in writing. Trust no one.In construction of any sort, CHEAPER IS NOT BETTER! Or, you get what you pay for.

For a full remodel, find a licensed and insured (and reputable) general contractor with references. A GC will be able to hire the tile setter, and the plumber, and the drywaller, the electrician, etc.
