:) Post the link in blogs and forums. Join several web design forums and ask the webdesigners what they think about your website. Join several forums in your field of expertise (accounting, geography, what ever) and start giving advice to people. Remember to put the link in your signature. ALWAYS, but ALWAYS respect the rules, respect the NETIQUETTE!!!You could also try Google Adwords, and I think Yahoo has a similar service. Send Press Releases every week to newspapers. Create a mailing list.DO A GOOD JOB WITH YOUR SITE, and the spoken word will be the best promotion. P.S. Do not fall for tricks from individuals claiming that they can promote you just for 99.99$ :)GOOD LUCK!!

Hello.Technically the cheapest way is Search Engine Optimization.http://www.seo-today.com/http://www.gnc-web-creations.com/seo-optimization.htmHowever, there are alternatives to this. Yahoo Publisher Network, google adwrds and similar Pay Per Click advertising models can bring excellent traffic.http://publisher.yahoo.com/http://www.google.com/adwords/learningcenter/index.htmlRelevant forum posts, blog commentry, article submission to directories, ect are also good free ways to promote your site.As previously stated, buying traffic is always a bad idea. Almost all companies which sell traffic, regardless of their claims, are selling something which is of no use to you.Visit www.webmasterworld.com and learn a wealth about site promotion.Hope that helps..
