Must be at least 18 years old. You have to be in the real estate business as a salesperson for a minimum of three years full time (there are exceptions). At least a high school diploma or the equivalent. Pass a 150 hour course at an approved school. There are 90 hours of general knowledge, 30 hours of ethics and 30 hours of management. Must pass the state test (no exceptions). You have to open an office to be a broker.
