This product allows you the opportunity to transform an unsightly concrete patio, front porch, balcony, or spa surround into a beautiful wood deck in just a fraction of the cost and time it would take to build one. Additional species, such as Grapia and Curupay, are also available. Ipe has a hardness pressure rating of 3640 Janka, almost 3 times that of northern Red Oak, and it is rated by the US Forest Products Lab for a 25 years + lifespan. It is resistant to fire naturally, has a rating of Class A (same as concrete or steel) by the National Fire Protection Agency, and resists insects, moisture, and movement. It is easlily sealed to maintain its natural beauty, or can be allowed to weather to a beautiful silver blonde color . The base is made of polypropylene high density UV coated plastic, and can withstand extreme weather conditions, and extreme weight. In fact, it will support over 2,800 lbs. per square foot!
