The media keeps talking about a bust or crash. I am suprised that the real estate community hasn't been able to put this into context. I have heard the National Association of Realtors attempt to fudge with statistics or use different terminology (i.e. slow down, gradual decline), but why not point to facts? 10% gains are still great! They are not as good as 45% gains, but they are nothing to sneeze at. Read the following review of a recent CNN article.

it really is going to change sometime soon but even if Prices crash for people investing in Real Estate the market will end up shooting way way up again because the Mad rush for people trying to get into better homes

There's no crash. It was just an unsustainable home value inflation over the last 4-5 years. Prices are just dropping to what they should really be. Of course there will be inflation, but 200% inflation over a couple of years can't last forever.
